KDMC receives breast care funding to help women who qualify
You may already know King’s Daughters receives funding from Kentucky’s Breast Cancer Research and Education Trust to fund screening mammograms for uninsured/underinsured women. But did you know these same grants can help women who need additional testing or treatment services? They can!

Covered services include screening mammogram, diagnostic mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy and MRI. Funding is provided through sales of Kentucky’s Driving for a Cure license plates.

“We are really excited to learn we have this funding that is so needed in eastern Kentucky,” said Doretha Pridemore, breast care clinical supervisor at King’s Daughters. “We need to take care of women in our community. This funding helps those who need it receive assistance.”

Those who are eligible include women 40 to 64 who are uninsured or whose deductible/co-pays make it difficult for them to afford follow-up services and residents of Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Lewis and Martin counties.

For more information and/or to see if you qualify, please contact Pridemore at (606) 408-2706.
