King’s Daughters will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in the medical center’s Health Education Center (lower level of the Lexington Avenue parking garage) in Ashland.

Appointments to donate blood are not required but are suggested. To schedule your appointment, please call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.

Make a difference!

Your donations are critical to meeting community needs, both for those with chronic medical conditions and patients who have been injured in accidents. In addition, the American Red Cross often experiences blood supply shortages during winter months.

Donor benefits include:

  • It feels great to make a difference in someone's life!
  • You could help save more than one life with just one donation!
  • You get refreshments — free juice and delicious cookies are provided.
  • It's something you can spare. Most people have blood to spare... yet, there is still not enough to go around.
  • You will help ensure blood is on the shelf when needed – most people don't think they'll ever need blood, but many do.

The American Red Cross is the nation’s largest collection organization, supplying approximately 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country.*
