Burlington Family Care Center welcomes nurse practitioner

Tammy JohnsonKing’s Daughters Family Care Center in Burlington, Ohio welcomes family nurse practitioner Tammy Johnson to its team, joining nurse practitioners Dee Freeman and Stephen Perkey.

Johnson earned her master of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner degree from Marshall University School of Nursing, Huntington, W.Va. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. Nurse practitioners prescribe medications, treat illness, and administer physical exams.

The practice is located at 384 County Road 120 South, South Point, Ohio. Hours are 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Services include:

  • Wellness and preventive services for the entire family, from newborns to mature adults
  • Management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Well-child and well-woman check ups
  • Immunizations
  • Same day/next day appointments available for established patients with urgent conditions
