King’s Daughters is seeking nurses interested in advancing their careers and specializing in critical care.

Nurses are invited to learn about King’s Daughters’ paid Critical Care Fellowship Program by attending a session anytime between 5 and 9:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in the medical center’s Center for Advanced Care Lobby, on 22nd Street across from Central Park, Ashland. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with nurse educators and nursing managers, as well as tour the modern, state-of-the-art facility.

The 16-week Critical Care Fellowship provides nurses with the knowledge and skills they need to become confident critical care nurses, including:

  • 432 hours of direct preceptorship with experienced critical care nurses
  • 160 hours of classroom education covering advanced hemodynamics; acute respiratory distress syndrome; intracranial pressure monitoring; cardiogenic, hypovolemic and distributive shock; therapeutic hypothermia; mechanical ventilation; and intraortic balloon pump counterpulsation therapy.

King’s Daughters Critical Care Fellowship has helped dozens of nurses advance their careers and take on the additional challenge (and rewards) of critical care nursing.

For more information, please contact ICU nurse manager Aprile Rutherford at (606) 408-0392. RSVPs/appointments are not required.
