KDMC announces 2016 Regional Cancer Conference Details

King's Daughters will host its 2016 Regional Cancer Conference Friday, Sept. 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the medical center’s Health Education Center (lower level, Lexington Avenue parking garage).

The continuing education conference is for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, dietitians and other healthcare providers. Topics and speakers will include:

Cancer Staging – Its Role in Treatment Planning, Jeffrey Lopez, M.D., radiation oncologist, Tri-State Regional Cancer Center

Palliative Care/Advanced Illness Management Services (AIMS), Nicholas Kouns, D.O., King’s Daughters Medical Center hospitalist

Lung Cancer Screening Excellence, Timothy Mullett, M.D., Kentucky Clinical Trials Network director, University of Kentucky Medical Center, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery professor, Markey Cancer Center’s affiliate and research networks medical director

Oncology Clinical Research: An Overview, Mindy Dowden-Kruger, MHA, and Trey Alexander, III, MHA, MS, both with Kentucky Clinical Trials Network
