Free flu shot clinics set for September

The flu vaccine is a lifesaver for all, but especially for those over 65, pregnant women and people with chronic health conditions. To help make it easier for residents to receive the flu vaccine, King’s Daughters has scheduled a series of free flu shot clinics during September.

The vaccinations are free and available to those 18 and older, no appointment needed. Participants will be required to sign a consent form. Flu Mist is not available. For more information, please call 1-888-377-5362.

The dates, times and locations are as follows:

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 – Applegate’s Foodland, 1625 Ashland Ave., Greenup, Ky.
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 – Gillam’s IGA, 308 KY-7, Sandy Hook, Ky.
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 – Martin County Public Library, 180 E. Main St., Inez, Ky.
  • 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 – Save-A-Lot, 525 Village Drive, Prestonsburg, Ky.
  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 – Community Kitchen, 2516 Carter Ave., Ashland.
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 – Grayson Post Office, 390 Carol Malone Blvd., Grayson. On the KDMC Mobile Health Unit.
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 – South Shore Foodland, 65 Ratcliff Lane, South Shore, Ky.
