Walk-in flu shots available for kids

Walk-in flu shots available for kids

King’s Daughters is pleased to make walk-in flu vaccinations available for children in the community.

“We are proud to offer this service to our local children,” said Lisa Ashley, director of primary care practices at King’s Daughters, “Because we know most ‘minute clinics’ at pharmacies won’t vaccinate children under a certain age and getting a flu shot is very important, especially this year.”

Walk-in flu shot clinics do not require an appointment and individuals do not need to be patients in the practice to receive a vaccination. Masks, temperature checks and COVID screenings are required. Social distancing will be enforced.

Walk-in pediatric flu shots will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. as follows:

  • Mondays and Fridays at King’s Daughters Cedar Knoll Pediatrics, 10650 U.S. Route 60, Ashland
  • Mondays and Thursdays at KD Cedar Knoll Family Care Center, 10650 U.S. Route 60, Ashland
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at KD Primary Care and Pediatrics Bellefonte, 1000 Ashland Drive, Suite 102, Russell
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at KD Primary Care Cannonsburg, 12470 U.S. Route 60

In addition, King’s Daughters Ashland Pediatrics, 2201 Lexington Ave, Suite 135, will offer walk-in flu vaccinations from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21.

King’s Daughters 29th Street Pediatrics, 336 29th St., Suite 201, Ashland, is offering vaccinations by appointment only on Monday through Thursday for established patients. Please call the office at (606) 324-7337 to schedule a visit.

Flu shots are for ages 6 months to 18 years. Vaccination cost will be billed to insurance. Cost for self-pay patients is $27; cash, checks and credit cards welcome.
