Exciting changes happening in our Portsmouth practices on March 7

King’s Daughters strives to provide quality, accessible and coordinated care to all patients. We are happy to announce some upcoming changes in our Portsmouth, Ohio practices that will make the best care even more convenient.

Beginning March 7, internal medicine physicians Ronald Arrick, M.D., Kevin Kammler, D.O., and Kimberly Umhoefer, D.O., and nurse practitioner Emily Fuhrmann, APRN, will see patients in Suite 200 of King’s Daughters Medical Center Ohio, 2001 Scioto Trail. Internist Isna Khan, M.D., will join them in the new location. The phone number for the practice will be (740) 354-8837.

King’s Daughters Portsmouth Internal Medicine was previously located at 1729 Kinneys Lane.

“Moving our internal medicine practice to the King’s Daughters Ohio location will make it easier for our primary care patients to get lab tests, x-rays and other diagnostic services performed in the same visit without having to travel” said Lisa Ashley, director of primary care practices for King’s Daughters.

The Family Care Center, located on the third floor at King’s Daughters Ohio, is not affected by the move.

Meanwhile, the Kinneys Lane facility will become the home for the majority of King’s Daughters specialty physicians in Portsmouth. This move also is effective March 7.

“Many of our patients, especially those who are a little older, see multiple specialists,” said Ryan Ison, Vice President of King’s Daughters integrated practices. “This move will make it possible for them to get all of their specialty visits out of the way at once, without having to travel from building to building,” Ison said.

Specialties located at Kinneys Lane include:

  • Breast health/surgical oncology
  • Cardiology
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Ear, Nose and Throat (otolaryngology)
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Surgery
  • Interventional Spine
  • Nephrology and Hypertension
  • Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
  • Pulmonology
  • Urology
  • Vascular Surgery

“This move will allow us to expand the specialty services we provide in Portsmouth,” Ison said, noting that gynecology and neurology will soon be available at the Kinneys Lane location.

Patients will continue to reach their specialty physicians at the same phone numbers as before. Patients affected by the moves have been notified.
