King's Daughters Prestonsburg, 1279 Old Abbott Mountain Road, will host a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29.
“With the ongoing pandemic the safety of our community is our priority. Therefore, we are offering drive-thru services to ensure our communities are protected from the flu this year,” said Lisa Ashley, director of primary care practices at King’s Daughters.
No appointment is needed. Individuals do not need to be patients in the practice to receive the vaccination during scheduled times. Signage will direct patients to park in a designated area. A King’s Daughters team member will come to their vehicles to complete registration and administer the vaccination.
Flu shots are for adults age 18 and older only. For pediatric and high dose vaccinations please contact your provider.
Drive-thru flu vaccination cost will be billed to insurance. Cost for self-pay patients is $27; cash, checks and credit cards welcome.
In case of rain, the flu vaccination clinic will be moved inside King's Daughters Prestonsburg during the event time on Thursday. Should this occur, masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced. All recipients will have their temperatures checked before entry and will be asked a series of screening questions.
