King's Daughters is pleased to welcome Robert Slocum, Ph.D., program
coordinator of the Narrative Medicine program at the University of Kentucky,
to the November meeting of its Heart Failure Support Group.
Dr. Slocum will discuss the power of narrative medicine in helping patients
build hope and resilience. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice
telling their stories through journaling and other techniques.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the lobby of
King's Daughters Cardiology, Suite 230, Medical Plaza B, 613 23rd
The Heart Failure Support Group is free and open to all interested persons
and their family/support persons. Refreshments will be served. RSVPs are
preferred but not required.
