Ob/Gyn Emergency Care
A separate Obsterics/Gynecology emergency care area is available 24/7.
This service is staffed by obstetrician/gynecologists - including the
ob/gyns at King's Daughters - and experienced nurses. While you are
here, a member of our ob/gyn hospitalist team may be involved in your
care. Ob/gyn hospitalists specialize in the management of labor and delivery,
including examinations, evaluating the progress of labor, reviewing test
results and fetal heart rate, delivery, and surgical interventions.
King’s Daughters ob/gyn hospitalists partner with our attending staff
to monitor labor progress, deliver babies and handle emergency situations
if they arise when a patient’s physician is unavailable.
