Nursing Educational Allowance Program
To assist in the ever challenging healthcare workforce, UK King's Daughters
is excited to announce that we are beginning a Nursing Educational Allowance
Program for RNs and LPNs.
This will cover $15,000 for the RN program and $11,000 for the LPN program.
To be eligible for this program, the applicant must already be accepted
to a program of nursing with a pending program start date and agree to
remain in the nursing position up to three years post-graduation.
Successful recipients shall be responsible for payment of any and all applicable
taxes and withholdings in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
RN Educational Allowance
- Allowance of $15,000* awarded over four semesters (two years) (recipient shall be responsible for payment of any and all applicable taxes and withholdings in accordance with federal, state and local regulations)
- Initial application/selection process, then transcript updates after each semester
- Recipient agrees to remain in a bedside nursing position for up to three years following RN start date. Recipient is not guaranteed a position of their preference upon being hired as an RN. This is based on hiring manager selection.
- Once the program is completed, the recipient will be given three attempts to pass the NCLEX, not to exceed six months post-graduation. Failure to pass within six months will result in repayment of the award through accounting.

Eligibility guidelines
- High school diploma/GED
- Acceptance to an accredited nursing program
- Must maintain active enrollment in the nursing program
LPN Educational Allowance
